My name is Wendy Davey and I am editor of three of our free weekly newspapers: the Ely News, Newmarket News and the Haverhill Weekly News. I work from both the Newmarket and Ely offices, depending on which deadline is looming. I live in Suffolk with my husband, a secondary school English and media teacher, and my two young children.

Sue has worked for Cambridge Newspapers for 16.5 years in total in many roles and is currently Business Development Manager. She is responsible for Cambridge Business magazine and Cambridge Magazine and for increasing Business revenues, looking after the sponsorships for publications, events, awards and helping with the Company’s B2B exhibition. Outside work she enjoys walking on beaches and in forests with her cocker spaniel and spending time with her family.

Jenny has been business editor at Cambridge News since 1997 and has been following the “Cambridge Phenomenon” for a lot longer than that, having previously been involved in engineering and technology PR. She has won many awards, from her early days in journalism in the 1970s through to winning the 2013 Wincott Nations & Regions Journalist of the Year. She is also the author of a number of novels and works of non-fiction.

Darren has worked in the media industry for over 14 years, starting his career within account management, and progressing to Classified Manager, before moving into the digital arena in 2007. He has worked across all sectors within advertising, giving him a good grasp of business needs, gaining a Marketing Degree during the next 4 years. In his current role, Darren enjoys working strategically to develop products to enhance the success of the advertisers in his area. Customer service is key to him, with the ability to deliver great results. Outside of work Darren has a keen interest in performing arts, working with several groups across East Anglia, both on and off stage. Studying Drama and Dance, Darren can often be seen performing Shakespeare or Ballet somewhere in the region!

Paul has edited the Cambridge News since 2008 and helped the newspaper to win three UK regional newspaper of the year awards in five years. Responsible for the editorial content of the paper and its fast-growing website, Paul works with a talented team of journalists to ensure the News reflects the interests and concerns of the community it serves. Paul also edits the free weekly newspaper for the city, the Cambridge News & Crier. He is passionate about supporting his local community and has initiated a host of campaigns, helping to raise the issue of education funding in our schools with the Government, supporting the drive for improved facilities at the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge, fundraising to build a new play area at a children’s hospice and backing our local pubs. He previously edited the Hertfordshire Mercury series of newspapers, on which he also worked as a reporter and news editor. He graduated from Oxford with a First in English, before completing his NCTJ postgraduate journalism qualifications.

I’m the editor of the News & Crier series, with approx. 43,000 copies delivered to homes across Huntingdonshire each week, and I live in the centre of St Neots with my wife Katie and our two cats. I’m based a very short walk from home at our office on St Neots Market Square with two reporters and the local media sales team. I’ve been been a journalist for the past 14 years, working at daily and weekly newspapers across the country, and have edited the News & Crier since April 2013, having previously edited weekly titles based in Ely, Haverhill and Newmarket for Cambridge Newspapers. I also spent four years as deputy editor of the Herts & Essex Observer series for HEN.
