Cambridge News Community Awards

1 Oct 2014 | Downing College, Cambridge

These awards are an occasion when we highlight and pay tribute to the remarkable work, commitment and often bravery displayed by so many people, everyday of their lives, in our local area. This event is all about them. Our awards programme runs for three months and will culminate with an awards night in October.

Nominations for the awards are invited from readers of our print titles and subscribers to our websites. These schemes run for four months and launch, with an in paper supplement which includes a form so that readers can make their nominations.

The awards evening are a fantastic showcase for that is good about our region’s communities and gives us as a newspaper the opportunity to pay homage to the fantastic work that individuals and groups are carrying out on a daily bases often without reward.

The Community Awards are promoted across the portfolio of products. The branding opportunities are excellent and it is the perfect way of positively engaging with the local community.  This initiative offers an excellent was of getting your brand associated with good news stories.

“As a grateful participant in the Community Awards yesterday evening I would like to say that I thought the event was excellent. I am sure that everyone who took part in the Ceremony is extremely grateful to the Cambridge News and the sponsors for their generosity. Many thanks to them and all the people who organised and managed the very meaningful occasion in the beautiful surroundings of Downing College”.
